2 Samuel 3:1    The New Birth

I.                     We see a Distinction between the House of David and the House of Saul.  House, Family, Clan, etc… look different.

Different between the 1^st birth and 2^nd birth.
Saul and David
Abraham had Ishmael and Isaac
Isaac had Esau and Jacob
Judah had Pharez and Zarah
Adam and Jesus
Flesh and the Spirit

II.                  We see a Division, a War between the flesh and Spirit.
From Creation there was no small battle.  There was a division.
Devil = slanderer/accuser, Satan = opponent/adversary  Lucifer = morning star/light bearer, Serpent = deceiver, and dragon = bigger deceiver,  Beelzebub = dung god.

There is a war going on.

III.                We see the Duration.  Long War.
But when the battles over and the victory is won!
Some have fought longer than others.
As smoke is driven away, as wax melteth before the fire, so shall God drive away our enemies.
