If I
were to ask what the most important part of our Christian life was, what would
you answer?
Prayer,
Bible reading, Church attendance, Witnessing, etc…
All are
of equal importance.
Death, burial, and resurrection.
Filled
with the Spirit is of great importance.
Salvation is the beginning of this
facet of our Christian walk.
What would prayer be without the
Spirit? Bible reading? Witnessing?
Etc…
The Bible is sandwiched with the
Spirit.
Gen.1:2 and the Spirit of God
moved…
Rev.22:17 and the Spirit and the
bride say, Come.
Jesus taught the importance of the
Spirit in His life.
Luke 1:35 The Holy Ghost shall come
upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee.
Luke 3:21-22…the Holy Ghost descended
in a bodily shape like a dove…

What
does it mean to be filled with the Spirit?
To have God’s (1) Attitude…love, joy, peace
(2) Attributes…holiness, righteousness, integrity, honesty,…(3) Actions
…reaching out, confessing Christ.

How can we be filled with the Spirit?
Salvation is the beginning. A clean vessel,
tabernacle, dwelling place for God.
It is God’s design and God’s desire
for us to be filled with the Spirit. (Acts 1:8)

What will happen when you are filled with the Spirit?
First of all the filling is not always a “feeling”.
It will create a peace, (dove)
Liberty (2 Cor.3:17-18)
Fruit (Gal.5:22-23)
